Just a quick photo-update post showing a couple of games from a while ago that I never got around to posting. First up is my great defeat to Markus’ Russians (depicted here on Markus’ blog). Second up is my victory over Ernie’s Rastenbergers for our Maurice campaign (in-character write-up found here).

My great defeat!

This was a massive defeat for me, I lost almost everything I had, and the Russians took only minimal losses. It was a fun game though, the first we’d played at 1000 points so we could include some extras. I had added  sniper (the only one who really accomplished much on my side), a medic, a Stug III and a Puma. The Puma did ok, but too little and too late.

That brings us to the other game I need to catch up on – my Maurice campaign game against Ernie’s Rastenbergers. I started this game with a great advantage – several of my units had recently been upgraded to elite, while Ernie’s last game saw him suffer a massacre, which meant a lot of his forces were now conscripts going into this game.

At this point, Ernie’s morale broke, giving me the match. It wasn’t all good news for me – despite a huge victory, I lost two of my Notables, including the Rev. Howard Whitehouse, who up till now had been my mainstay. Ah well. As always, it was a pleasure playing Ernie too – one of the most laidback players at the club, and always a pleasure to fight.
